For all registered Middlebury voters: The Middlebuy Town Meeting is March 2, but you should request your ballot ASAP! Happy Election Day, Middlebury! Get out and vote if you haven’t done so already! Missed your state’s deadline? If you are an eligible U.S. voter, you can still vote in vt! Shuttles to the polls all day on election day leaving adk every hour. Worried that your ballot might not make it home by Election Day? In some states, your ballot will still be accepted if it arrives late — depending on the time and place. Check out whether or not your ballot can arrive after Tuesday, November 3rd, and remember that the USPS suggests giving your ballot 7-14 days to be received by your local elections officials when you decide to mail your ballot this week. All students can register and vote in-person in Vermont next week if they are worried about mail-in ballots to other states not counting, but you cannot vote at home and in Vermont! Several states will accept late ballots as long as they are POSTMARKED by Election Day! Make sure you send in your ballot ASAP! Individual state laws and deadlines can differ greatly, especially due to the pandemic. Check out vote.org to find your state’s specific deadlines. Still haven’t mailed in your absentee ballot? There’s no time like the present! It’s getting to be late to mail your vote in and hope it gets counted. Celebrate Vote Early weekend with us, @midd.dining’s food truck, and the McCullough mailbox! Everybody (regardless of US voter eligibility and voter status) is welcome to join us! Do you have a plan to vote? Studies say your ballot is far more likely to count when you make a specific and detailed plan! Tag 3 friends to encourage them to make their plans!
